Container lifting frames are utilised in ports where shore facilities are unable to handle containers. They are of both 20 ft and 40 ft with appropriate safe working load.

All Gearbulk vessels are fitted to carry standard ISO containers and carry the loose fittings to secure the containers. Over 40% of Gearbulk vessels are classed as container carriers.

All Gearbulk vessels carry full chain lumber lashing sets. These are certified in accordance with Canadian lumber deck lashing rules, the most stringent of their kind.

The web deck lashing system is a very flexible substitute for traditional chain lashing systems. When compared with handling chains systems, the web deck lashing system requires considerably less time to fit and remove and also reduces labour requirements. Its physical properties naturally make it more cargo friendly.
